Placing routine reminder calls with a voice agent
A dialler places the calls somebody would otherwise place one at a time — an appointment tomorrow, a delivery window, an instalment falling due — and a voice agent handles the opening turn, confirms or reschedules, and passes anything unusual to a colleague on the same call.

Tools named for this
- A dialler wired to your sender registration and preference records on the operator platform
- A voice agent restricted to a script whose purpose has been classified in advance
- A warm-transfer path to a colleague that keeps the caller on the line
- A suppression check that runs immediately before each batch is released
What to check before you ship it in India
- TCCCPR 2018 treats a voice call as commercial communication when its primary purpose is to inform about, advertise or solicit business, and regulation 32 bars a business not registered with its access provider from making such a call, causing one to be made, or authorising it. The service-call definition has several limbs, including periodic account, subscription or loan statements, delivery information under a transaction the recipient consented to enter, changes in terms or in the recipient's standing, and warranty or safety notices — an instalment reminder sits on the account-statement limb. Note what the limb does and does not buy you: a Service Call is excluded from unsolicited commercial communication, not from commercial communication as such, so registration under regulation 32 is required either way. A reminder that also suggests an upgrade is not inside it.
- The number and the reason for the call are both personal data. Section 6(1) limits consent to the personal data necessary for the specified purpose, so a number collected in order to deliver an order does not by itself authorise a call about a different product.
- Restraint is the weak point. Benchmarking of full-duplex agents finds no current system that is both reliably responsive and appropriately restrained, and an agent that talks over somebody trying to say they already paid turns a routine reminder into a complaint.
