What to check before you ship it in India
- Recording a prospect's voice is processing that person's personal data. Section 4(1) of the DPDP Act 2023 permits it only for a lawful purpose grounded in consent or in a listed legitimate use, and the legitimate uses are the closed list in section 7. A tidier pipeline record is a secondary use, not one of them.
- A study of high-volume outbound calling found salespeople overweight a few salient expressions of disinterest, so a model trained to imitate past representatives inherits that misreading instead of correcting it.
