What to check before you ship it in India

  • Commercial contracts name individual signatories, directors and key contacts, and that is personal data. Uploading the document to a hosted model makes the provider a Data Processor, and section 8(1) keeps you responsible for that processing irrespective of any agreement to the contrary, so the contract with the provider is yours to get right.
  • A clause that was never found leaves no empty row behind it, so the sheet looks finished either way and the reviewer has no signal that anything is absent.
